Published April 3, 2008 under Software and tagged , , , , , and .

Kerkythea Kerkythea is a cross-platform 3D model rendering engine with excellent compatibility with SketchUp, Blender, Wings 3D, 3ds Max, Silo, or any other title that exports OBJ or 3DS formats. Its strength lies in photorealistic material and texture rendering, as well as accurate lighting. The most compelling feature of Kerkythea, though, is the ability for teams to offload rendering to dedicated hosts on the local network.

Kerkythea is freeware and downloads are available for Windows, Mac and Linux. The license is refreshingly straightforward and simple, which further pronounces the spirit of this project and its developers.
